Jay Peteranetz
Jim Lee and Michael Turner are the influences Jay Peteranetz names for the detailed; larger than life figures in his work. A comic book artist from Lafayette; Colorado; he holds a BFA and MFA in Sequential Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design and began his comics career in 1997 with Panther Comics. His credits include Big Epsilon issues 25 to 27 for Kris Kidd Productions; Dog of Wonder for Action Lab Entertainment; the crime noir book Broderick through his own Squirt Gun Studios; and Captain Colorado; which he co created for Denver Comic Con along with convention badges. He has served as Program Chair of Media Arts at the Art Institute of Colorado and taught at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and Pop Culture Classroom. His sketch card run includes 2019 Upper Deck Flair Marvel and 2022 Marvel Masterpieces card MM161; for which Crackwise holds a reverse signature. Find him at jpeteranetz.com and @jpeteranetzart.
