Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire

The Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire set, published by Topps, was released in 1996 and has 109 cards. It includes 4 insert sets.

Topps tried an unusual numbering scheme on this release, dropping the chase cards into the middle of the sequence instead of appending them at the end. The 90-card basic set therefore runs 1 through 72 and then 83 through 100, so the gap in the numbering is by design rather than a sign of missing cards.
